Evening Routine
Other parts of the evening routine:
Wash face
Moisturize
Remove contacts
Brush teeth
Put clothes out
Load dishwasher, turn it on.
Hand wash the hand washable dishes
Fill coffee maker, set timer
Set alarm clock
The evening routine part is easy. Much easier than the morning routine.
The dish washing part is key.
By taking care of the dishes immediately, you’ll save so much extra crusty time and soaking time and next day time.
Here’s a smooch on the forehead before you go to sleep.
That should be part of your evening routine too.

Thanks! You should include that last one in your business proposals and then jack up your prices.
I love the home-working tips this month! (Especially as I am a yet-to-be-reformed slob residing alongside an utterly proud neatfreak.)
In case requests are allowed–I’m in the midst of trying to manage my moola (or lack thereof). Any tips on managing the household budget and keeping it all straight and pretty?
I’m learning that simply avoiding bill collectors’ phone calls is not enough! Shocking.
My husband washes all the dishes and cleans up the kitchen after supper every night. I do the cooking. To me, this is a perfect division of labor.
Don’t forget to *floss* those pearly whites, too!
Dear HJ,
I wish I could be as disciplined as you! I’m not quite this regimented in my routines. I sometimes–though rarely–fall into bed (literally, apparently) in such an exhaustion-induced stupor that when I wake up, I realise that I’ve forgotten to brush my teeth.
