about Helen Jane
I’m Helen Jane.
That’s me there on the left.
My favorite thing in the whole wide world is to throw a good party.
Mostly, potlucks.
Sometimes it’s a party of one,
sometimes, a party for a few hundred.
Always, it gets talked about.
This web site is about celebrating, every day.
I write an entertaining article every week for Serious Eats.
I founded Cheesewhizzes, the nation-wide cheese club. You can read an article about it in the December 2009 issue of Food and Wine magazine.
(I know, what?!)
My favorite food is sandwiches.
Winning “Most Inspirational” bocce player during the fall season 2006 qualified me to be co-captain of my bocce team, Joanie Loves Bocce. I love inspiration.
My programmer/musician husband and I currently have two baby daughters.
We work and live in California’s beautiful wine country.
As one of the broads who helps to throw the Mighty Summit, I am eager to bring my enthusiasm for events and thinking to giving successful ladies a chance to be smart together.
My, you have a lovely smile.
This website, helenjane.com, has been updated online since September 1998. That means I’ve been blogging for twelve years. TWELVE YEARS.
Since logging that kind of time lends itself to expertise, I run a company called Maplevine that helps wineries and breweries do all kinds of fun things online. Of course if you’re neither winery or brewery, I’d also love to help you do something fun online.
Regarding social media, I’ll only friend you on Facebook if I’ve met you in real life, I’ll only follow you on Twitter if you don’t use it to complain.
Man, you’re a good listener. Thanks for sticking with me while I natter on about myself.
If you want to tell me something about yourself, you can email me at hj@helenjane.com.
(You’re always welcome.)
